Our visit to Barbadillo winery!

Wine making process

We learned about the wine making process in Barbadillo winery in Sanlucar de Barrameda.

First of al vines are grown in soil called " Albariza ". Then, Palomino grapes are carefully cut from the vines. Next musts are pured in metal tanks.

The new wines are classifyed for ageing.
Casks are made of American Oak.

Wine is fortified with alcohol.After Older wines are  blended with younger wines. Fino wines are aged under yeas or " Velo de flor " .
Finally, wine is botlelled from the lower butt.

Manzanilla is produced only in Sanlucar de Barrameda.
Barbadillo wines are sold worldwine.
